The Career Level Machining Process Engineer works autonomously with occasional guidance from supervision and supports safe, stable, and capable machining operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Support daily machining operations by troubleshooting process, tooling, fixture, gaging, machine, and equipment-related issues
- Define and improve manufacturing processes, including sequence of operations, process flow, and efficient material flow
- Support SORs and project management activities for tooling, stations, machining equipment, and specific technologies
- Provide technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources
- Incorporate human factors into process and equipment design
- Analyze process capability, dimensional performance, gage data, tool life, and machine performance to implement improvements
- Work with production, maintenance, quality, tooling, and manufacturing engineering teams to resolve issues and drive corrective actions
- Participate in PFMEA, process control planning, and quality system activities
- Support development and testing of advanced process technology as required
