Process Engineer

Role Overview

The process engineer works in a manufacturing plant environment, providing daily support to production operations, ensuring personnel and equipment safety, process quality, and uptime. The role requires teamwork, analytical skills, and effective communication. The process engineer will work with hourly union environment and occasional guidance from supervision and peers.

What You Will Do

Provide daily support to production operations, attend regular production meetings, own specific manufacturing and/or quality issues, support the production team by collecting and analyzing data, provide technical direction to skilled trades personnel, troubleshoot and diagnose process and equipment problems, develop and maintain process documentation, and lead or support process development and launch activities.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant technical field, and strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. The candidate should be able to work 2nd shift, overtime as needed, and have experience with product/part quality, lean manufacturing principles, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

• 3+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant technical field
• Ability to work 2nd shift
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Demonstrated analytical ability, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with product/part quality, including part identification, troubleshooting, and basic root cause analysis
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Power BI
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results
• Knowledge of, and ability to implement, lean manufacturing principles
• Demonstrated initiative, including taking action beyond assigned work to improve outcomes and/or support others
