
Job description
The Manufacturing Engineer- Machining will be engaged in developing manufacturing and machining processes, equipment/tooling alternatives, sequence, and flow of operations for the effective utilization of personnel, material, machines, and facilities necessary to produce machined components. Work will be performed in an engine component machining plant, requiring creativity, initiative, and a high-level of independent judgement.
Ensure that manufacturing processes are effectively maintained, process definition for machining and sub-assembly processes, support the day-to-day production needs on the production floor, sequencing of operations, human factors – ergonomic consideration, efficient material flow, and providing technical direction to and oversight of external vendor sources and internal maintenance and operations teams.
This role requires technical knowledge and ability in process engineering disciplines, critical thinking and an analytical mindset, excellent level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated knowledge of statistical methods as applied to process control.
