Senior Mining Engineer

Role Overview

Join Genesis Minerals as a Senior Mining Engineer to provide coordination and technical expertise for the mining activities of our Open Pit mining operations. This role is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off Fly In Fly Out roster from Perth to Leonora. Town based established accommodation camp in Leonora with great camp faculties.

What You Will Do

Manage the delivery of short and medium term production targets, assist with management of the in-house open pit contractor, plan and design mine schedules, and provide leadership and guidance to technical personnel.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline
• Quarry Manager's Certificate (highly regarded)
• Sound knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to mining
• Technical expertise in relation to Open Pit mine design, drill and blast and mine planning
• Proficient with computer scheduling software (Deswik will be highly regarded)
• Operational site based mining experience (preferably gold) and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment
