Global Atlantic is seeking a qualified Associate, Investment Accounting Specialist to support the accounting for renewable energy and infrastructure investments. This role involves preparing monthly journal reconciliations, preparing 10Q/K filings, and conducting month-end closing procedures. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, deadline-driven, and adept at working within a fast-paced environment, and has excellent communication and organizational skills.
Requirements
- Renewable energy investment accounting background (strongly preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus
- 7-10 years of relevant experience
- Public Accounting experience a plus
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting principles related to renewable energy investments
- Familiarity with complex transactions, internal securitizations and SPVs
- Familiarity with investment accounting systems
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel
- Proactive, detail oriented, deadline driven; possess excellent documentation and analysis skills
- Results oriented, flexible, self-motivated and able to work in a team environment with limited direct supervision
