Advisor, Labour Relations

The Labour Relations Advisor provides guidance, direction and support to the Human Resources and Operations teams on matters relating to labour relations and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of previous labour relations experience; worked within a unionized environment
• Degree and/or diploma in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations from a recognized post-secondary institution, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Strong solution-oriented decision-making and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Thorough knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
• Fast learner, interested in continuous process improvement
• Able to work independently and as part of a diverse team
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Effective persuasion and conflict resolution skills
