Job Description
The Assistant Swim Team Coach is responsible for motivation, instruction, and safe supervision of competitive swim team participants. The role involves planning and organizing practices, supervising team members, maintaining safety standards, and providing administrative oversight. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Requirements
- 18 years old
- Good organizational skills
- Experience in competitive sport (with 1+ year as an assistant)
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Swimming Team Coaches & assistants must hold and maintain Lifeguarding Certification
- Swim Team Coaches & assistants must complete YMCA Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Harassment Trainings upon hire and annually thereafter
- Complete YMCA principles of Competitive Swimming
- Complete Red Cross Safety for Swim Coaches within the first 30 days of employment
