Requirements
- Works with supervisors and production managers to schedule production.
- Cleans, trims, and debones products for future processing.
- Inspects and removes defects, bruises, or blemishes from the product.
- Separates meats and by-products into specified containers and seals containers as needed.
- Uses knives, cleavers, or other equipment to perform trimming.
- Weighs product and tag containers for weight and contents.
- Reduces processing costs but accurately cuts and sizes portions with good yields and meets customer specs.
- Accurately reads and comprehends all customer-specific instructions.
- Perform quality control checks and communicate with supervisors and managers regarding any defects.
- A fish cutter must follow and maintain all Quality Assurance, HACCP, SQF requirements, and Occupational Health and safety regulations and ensure all employees under their department follow all the regulations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the work area and the cutting knives and equipment.
- Perform any other duties as required.
