Job Description
We're seeking a Literacy Coach to join our team at Harlem Children’s Zone. As a passionate educator, you will work closely with teachers, education directors, and principals to enhance literacy outcomes and support student success. Our goal is to get all our scholars to and through college!
Requirements
- Valid New York State certification in Literacy, Reading, Social Studies (Grades 7-12) or TESOL
- Minimum of five years of literacy instruction
- Experience working with middle school or high school students
- Minimum of three years of experience teaching in an urban school setting
- Master’s degree in Literacy or Reading preferred
- Previous coaching or curriculum development experience preferred
- Background in the Science of Reading and structured literacy practices preferred
