Assistant Superintendent - Commercial - Roanoke

Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent to create a safe work environment, build a quality project, and keep projects on schedule while earning a fair and reasonable profit. Promote the company mission statement by learning and demonstrating leadership regarding Harper Commercial Team Big 6: Safety/SOAR, Core, Procurement/Scheduling, Pre-Install meetings, Exterior skin systems meetings, and Utility strike prevention plan.

Requirements

• Learn what it means to be the main contact for the project at the jobsite
• Assist in and learn to oversee the project to ensure proper project decisions
• Scheduling, Delivery, Logistics, staging and phasing, Quality control, Employee staffing levels, Ability to communicate with Owner and Architect/Engineer relating to field issues, Investigate and resolve issues
• Demonstrate leadership regarding Harper Commercial Team Big 6: Safety/SOAR, Core, Procurement/Scheduling, Pre-Install meetings, Exterior skin systems meetings, and Utility strike prevention plan
• Understand project QAQC: QA example: Pre-installation meetings, QC example: Visual and documents inspections of work in place
• Assist in overseeing the coordination of all Trade Partners, Project site specific logistics/use including associated rules, Scheduling of each trade, Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule, Clarity of design versus installation (RFI’s), Supervise field staff to ensure staff development
