Supervisor, T&D Operations - Hilo

We are seeking a Supervisor, T&D Operations to supervise and direct the activities of the division's work group to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective completion of construction, installation, inspection, and maintenance of transmission and distribution facilities.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of construction, installation, and maintenance standards and practices of overhead and underground transmission and distribution system
• Good working knowledge of electrical transmission and distribution systems
• Good working knowledge of planning/scheduling/estimating concepts and principles
• Supervisory/leadership skills including effective written, oral and listening communication skills; conflict resolution skills; the ability to work with a variety of individuals; and the willingness and ability to train
• Ability to remain flexible in a demanding work environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
• Ability to handle difficult and/or sensitive issues while using tact, courtesy and discretion
• Analytical and administrative skills required for such tasks as preparing and monitoring estimates/forecasts; preparing performance appraisals and conducting interviews; and carrying out company/department policies and procedures
