Civil Engineer - Railroad

HDR is seeking a Civil Engineer - Railroad to join our Freight Railroad Team in Omaha, Nebraska. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in transportation design - railroad projects, knowledge of 'legacy' InRail/InRoads platform, and a professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board.

Requirements

• Serve in a technical role under a Project Manager
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for railroad track and civil projects
• Work independently as a project engineer on small- to mid-sized projects
• Participate in proposal development and other marketing activities
• Direct engineers-in-training, designers, and technicians
• Perform quality control reviews and design checks of railroad projects
