Job Description
As a Senior Transportation Construction Inspector at HDR, you will conduct and document observations of construction, collaborate with other inspectors, and mentor junior field staff. You will also read and interpret construction plans, perform routine material testing, and provide oversight to ensure quality control tasks are monitored and documented.
Requirements
- Conduct and document observations of construction
- Collaborate with other Inspectors, Construction Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers
- Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed
- Read and interpret construction plans, shop drawings, specifications and contract documents
- Perform routine material testing on concrete, soils, and other materials as necessary
- Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed
- Provide oversight to ensure quality control tasks are monitored and documented for contract compliance
