Claims Specialist

Health Advocate is seeking a Claims Specialist to join their team. The Claims Specialist will resolve complex claims issues, coordinate benefits across carriers, educate and empower members, ensure accuracy, collaborate and escalate, and support team growth. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented advocate with at least 2 years of experience in healthcare, customer service, or claims, who is passionate about helping others, thrives on solving challenges, and brings technical expertise to the table.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in healthcare, customer service, or claims
• Problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze claims, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions
• Strong listening skills and ability to guide members with care and patience, even in complex or emotionally charged situations
• Knowledgeable about plan documents, ACA guidelines, Medicare, COBRA, and benefits such as dental, vision, and behavioral health
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel, and comfortable using internal databases to document and track cases
