Job Description
The Nurse B - Public Health Nurse will provide investigation and follow-up of reportable and non-reportable communicable diseases, including sexually transmitted disease, HIV counseling, and point-of-care and anonymous HIV testing. The employee will also examine patients for sexually transmitted disease, provide family planning information and counseling, and assist with liaison and referrals to other health personnel and agencies.
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree
- Course credits in public health nursing
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a public health nurse
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
