Job Description
HF Sinclair is seeking a Process Control DCS Engineer to provide technical support and leadership for the refinery's Honeywell TDC3000 and Experion PKS control systems. The engineer will maintain and improve regulatory and advanced control strategies, support system reliability, and work with Operations and Engineering to ensure safe and efficient unit performance.
Requirements
- Maintain and troubleshoot Honeywell TDC3000 and Experion PKS systems
- Monitor DCS performance, alarms, and system health to ensure reliable operation
- Tune and optimize regulatory control loops
- Develop, implement, and maintain APC applications such as multivariable controllers and inferential models
- Support capital and maintenance projects involving control systems
- Participate in PHA, P&ID reviews, and MOC processes
- Perform DCS hardware and software maintenance and upgrades
- Maintain system backups, documentation, and cybersecurity-aligned configurations
