Job Description
The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans is seeking a Full-Time Pastry Cook to join the team. As a Pastry Cook, you will work under the direction of the Pastry Chef, Executive Chef, and Sous Chef to support daily pastry operations, preparing and executing pastry and dessert items, and maintaining quality and food safety standards.
Requirements
- Prepare and execute pastry and dessert items according to recipes and standards
- Assist with daily production to meet service and event requirements
- Maintain consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all dessert offerings
- Support the setup, organization, and cleanliness of the pastry station
- Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and safety procedures at all times
- Assist with seasonal and menu offerings as directed
- Properly store, label, and rotate ingredients to ensure freshness
- Collaborate with the culinary team to support overall kitchen operations
