Job Description
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Supplier Quality & Development Engineer to develop and implement supplier quality management processes and procedures. The role requires a master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline and at least 5 years of experience in supplier quality management. The engineer will work with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to define clear quality requirements and monitor supplier performance data.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or relevant technical field)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality management, quality assurance, or a related role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D, PPAP, APQP)
- Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Certification in quality (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Auditor) is a plus
