Assistant Vice President, Trading Development

This is a position in the Trading Development team in supporting Trading projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and resilience of the Hong Kong securities / Stock Connect / derivatives markets.

Requirements

• Lead the planning and implementation of Trading Development projects/ initiatives for enhancement of the HK securities / Stock Connect / derivatives markets
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with project objectives
• Conduct quality assurance and provide guidance on work produced by junior project team members
• Prepare and maintain business requirement documentation with the respective functional teams
• Track project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely progress
• Data analysis to monitor project performance, including financial metrics
• Able to build strong working relationships and manage senior internal and external stakeholders effectively, fostering collaboration and driving alignment during project execution
• Conduct market and policy research relating to market development for the execution of strategic projects
• Prepare write-ups, management papers, reports, proposals and presentation materials (both in English and Chinese)
• Strong ability to understand complex trading and clearing system and operational workflows, with the capacity to analyse technical logic and translate it into clear business implications
• Demonstrate adaptability to new operational processes and workflow changes arising from market enhancement initiatives
