Job Description
Hillman is a key member of the underground utility crew responsible for preparing and grading trenches to ensure proper pipe installation. This position works closely with other crew members to establish correct line and grade for storm, sewer, and water systems on heavy civil construction projects.
Requirements
- Fine grade trenches to proper elevation and slope for pipe installation
- Check and verify line and grade using lasers, grade rods, and levels
- Assist in laying storm, sanitary sewer, and water main pipe
- Maintain trench safety and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean and organized
