Job Description
We are currently looking for Student Nurse Externs to be a part of our medicine and surgical programs. The successful candidate will provide direct personal support to HRH patients, under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses, and will be responsible for documenting activities of daily living and relevant communication for patients.
Requirements
- currently enrolled years 2-4 of their nursing program of studies
- Current CPR certification required
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Must be a team player (works well with others)
- Ability to accurately and effectively communicate with the inter-professional healthcare team members
- Demonstrates understanding of the use of technology
- Ability to provide basic assistive care with frequent supervision and ongoing mentoring from a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse
- Mandatory compliance with HRH training- Privacy & Confidentiality requirements, WHMIS, Fire & Safety, hand hygiene modules
