Operations Technician supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in McIntosh Site, responsible for efficient operation of the facility, following instructions, and performing unit functions including housekeeping. The Operations Technician shall perform and be responsible for all unit functions, including housekeeping, that are necessary to maintain safe and efficient operations, for which he/she is properly trained to perform.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year of relevant experience may typically be substituted for one year of formal education
- Technical or Vocational Training in Pulp, Paper, and Chemical Technology with 5 years of relevant experience
- AIDT Training in Industrial Training with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Computer skills, requiring the use of both office and process control computers
- Direct plant experience in a chemical or paper manufacturing environment
- Communicates tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing and maintains effective work relations with those encountered during the course of employment
- Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and teamwork are critical for job success
