As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Main Kitchen and maintaining culinary and organisational standards. You will prepare consistent, high-quality food products and support the team in achieving the kitchen's operating concepts.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications/certificates in Cookery (Certificate III or equivalent), HACCP & local Food Safety Handling & Hygiene
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef in a four or five star hotel or a similar fast-paced, kitchen environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work productively and safely at all times with a focus on quality control
- The flexibility to work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
- The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of 5 star grooming standards
