Job Description
The Personal Attendant provides direct care support to individuals with developmental disabilities in various areas, including employment preparation, volunteer activities, communication skills, mobility training, education training, money management, self-help skills, environmental awareness, personal and public safety skills, emergency preparedness, community resources awareness, health and fitness, and self-advocacy skills. The attendant is responsible for ensuring the client receives professional, quality services in a safe and meaningful manner.
Requirements
- Pass a background check and TB test
- Possess a valid California Driver's license and provide a current driving record issued by the DMV
- Current car registration and insurance
- Driving Experience - Minimum 1 year
- Be certified in CPR/FA/CPI
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat and lift 50 LBS
- Good English skills (verbal and written)
- Good problem-solving skills and be a team player in a fast-paced environment
