Job Description
The Child Life Specialist (CLS) at Riley Hospital for Children is seeking a passionate individual to support infants, children, adolescents, and young adults through hospital stays. This role focuses on psychosocial and emotional needs, providing education, preparation, and support to enhance coping with the healthcare experience. The role is integral to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to family-centered care.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 0–3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Enrollment in or completion of an internship through the Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP)
- ACLP Certified Child Life Specialist Certification required within one year of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required
