Job Description
The Laboratory Assistant I, Specimen Processor, provides general laboratory services, including specimen receipt, order entry, blood component preparation, and related clerical tasks. Requires HS grad or GED Equivalent, and basic computer skills.
Requirements
- HS grad or GED Equivalent
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program with experience in laboratory or coursework in biological, chemical or related science
- Valid Indiana Operators license and good driving history for the last three years (may be required)
- Understanding of traffic laws in the State of Indiana (may be required)
- Basic computer skills
- Telephone skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
