Job Description
The Specimen Processing Lab Assistant I - Central Processing provides general laboratory services including specimen receipt, order entry, blood component preparation, and related clerical tasks. The ideal incumbent focuses on attention to detail, has strong organizational skills, and has basic computer skills. Requires HS grad or GED Equivalent.
Requirements
- HS grad or GED Equivalent
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program with experience in laboratory or coursework in biological, chemical or related science preferred
- Valid Indiana Operators license and a good driving history for the last three years
- Proven understanding of computers
- Telephone skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
