The Laboratory Assistant I, Specimen Processor, provides general laboratory services, including specimen receipt, order entry, blood component preparation, and related clerical tasks. The ideal incumbent focuses on attention to detail, has strong organizational skills, and has basic computer skills.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED equivalent
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program with experience in laboratory or coursework in biological, chemical or related science
- Valid Indiana Operator's license and a good driving history for the last three years
- Understanding of traffic laws in the State of Indiana
- Proven understanding of computers
- Telephone skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
