Manufacturing Engineer

Role Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer provides day-to-day technical support to the manufacturing operations to enable the department to meet planned objectives related to safety, environmental, quality, production and cost. This is a salaried exempt, day shift position. It is classified as a Safety Critical role.

What You Will Do

Key job responsibilities include: optimizing plant operations, troubleshooting production issues, ensuring compliance with main work processes, coordinating trial activity, and providing technical assistance for QSI's, PCP's, and SOP's.

You should possess a Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical Engineering, and a minimum of five (5) years of related chemical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering
• 5+ years of related chemical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of unit operations including chemical reactors, distillation, heat transfer, evaporation, drying, milling, filtration, pumping, fluid flow, material handling and support services
• Understanding of Flow Diagrams and Process and Instrument Diagrams
• Analytical processes skills
• Six Sigma training a plus
• Working knowledge of chemical/industrial equipment function, design, and regulatory requirements and Process Safety Management and ISO systems and procedures
• Understanding of test methods and pilot plant philosophy
• Functionality with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
