Mechanical Designer

INVIRO is looking for a dedicated Mechanical Designer to join their growing team. The position involves implementing design concepts, conducting load calculations, and working with project teams to deliver projects on time. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, 4+ years of experience in Mechanical Design, and knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years' work experience in Mechanical Design (HVAC & Plumbing emphasis)
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) an asset
• Demonstrated experience working on various commercial, industrial, and/or institutional buildings
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian National Building Code (NBC), Ontario Building Code (OBC), etc.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure on various tasks
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
