Job Description
The Department of Writing is looking for interested students to work in the Writing Center as part-time tutors to help students gain independence as writers and maintain a welcoming and inclusive space.
Requirements
- Solid academic standing and strong writing abilities, particularly in expository genres
- Successful completion of specific writing courses
- Outside research/internship experience in the work environment
- Sophomore standing at time of first week working
- Excellent communication skills
- Personal qualities conducive to one-on-one conferences
- Good listening abilities
