Provide quality and engaging instruction in all delivery methods and formats within specific academic programs, and support student retention and completion initiatives. Provide institutional support and community service, and participate in professional development activities. The full-time faculty member will teach culinary-hospitality courses, develop curriculum and supporting course materials, and maintain student records. The position also involves retention and student success initiatives, professional development, community relations, and institutional support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in culinary arts, culinary management, hospitality management, or a closely related field
- Associate's degree in culinary arts or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant culinary experience
- Professional certification in the field (e.g. American Culinary Federation Educational Foundation accreditation)
- Serve Safe Certification and Serve Safe Instructor Proctor certification
- Ability to develop and maintain curriculum and supporting course materials, and to facilitate student learning
- Ability to work with students, colleagues, and community partners to support student retention and completion initiatives
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and participate in professional development activities
- Ability to maintain student records, attendance, grades, and other documentation as required
- Ability to manage a classroom environment conducive to student learning and in adherence to federal, state, and college safety standards and practices
