Job Description
The Mechanical Project Engineer role is a critical position in the delivery of mechanical systems across tunnels, bridges, and surface road networks for the Torrens to Darlington project. The role involves supporting planning, design review, and delivery of mechanical works, reviewing mechanical drawings and specifications, and coordinating subcontractors and construction teams.
Requirements
- Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years' experience delivering mechanical works on major infrastructure or tunnelling projects
- Strong knowledge of pump stations, HVAC, mechanical plant, and tunnel service systems
- Experience coordinating construction teams and subcontractors
- Ability to read, interpret, and review mechanical drawings and specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills with focus on safety, quality, and schedule
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with project management systems such as ACONEX, Primavera, or similar
