Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support assembly and manufacturing operations with strong process thinking, problem-solving, and project execution. The successful candidate will work with production, engineering, safety, quality, and CI teams to optimize processes, equipment, layouts, and line performance to meet production demands and quality standards.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or related roles with a focus on assembly or operations support
- Strong understanding of engineering principles; solid problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Experience with assembly processes, process development, debugging, and lean manufacturing concepts (standard work, kaizen, etc.)
- Proficiency in applying mathematical methods to engineering problems; ability to develop and compare alternative solutions
- Excellent time and project management skills; ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources; independent judgment and decision-making
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-engineering stakeholders
- Knowledge of Canadian engineering standards and relevant codes
- Willingness to work in a shop environment with strict safety adherence
