2nd or 3rd Shift Automation and Controls Technician

2nd or 3rd Shift Automation and Controls Technician position available at Salm Partners in Denmark, WI, US. The successful candidate will provide electrical and controls support for maintenance activities, maintain compliance with safety and quality requirements, and assist with training and skills development for maintenance personnel.

Requirements

• Provide advanced technical support to the maintenance and operations team
• Program, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs and industrial control circuits
• Monitor software versions and perform upgrades as required
• Maintain PLC and HMI program backups and versions for all equipment
• Assist with updating electrical prints and schematics for all equipment
• Support cost saving initiatives such as major maintenance projects, part or equipment standardization, and alternate vendor sourcing
• Provide technical training and skills development for Maintenance Technicians and other Maintenance personnel
• Provide technical support for new equipment evaluation, install, and integration into maintenance systems
• Promote and support a continuous improvement culture
• Follow established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures as required without fail
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations per established company policies
• Provide after-hours support as needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned
