EHS Manager

Lead and manage the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) function at the site level by ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, company standards, and management systems.

Requirements

• Manage and maintain site Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and programs in alignment with company and global EHS standards.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, state, and local authorities.
• Drive a fact‐based, continuous improvement culture focused on injury prevention, environmental protection, and risk reduction.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked.
• Lead incident investigations, near‐miss reporting, and root cause analysis; ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed and documented.
• Manage safety training programs, including new‐hire orientation, emergency response, equipment operation (e.g., forklift, lifts, harnesses), and annual refresher training.
• Coordinate and document emergency preparedness activities, including fire, chemical spill, tornado, and evacuation drills.
• Maintain and update EHS work instructions, procedures, and records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
• Perform internal EHS audits and support external regulatory or certification audits as required.
• Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, including incidents, near misses, corrective actions, and compliance activities.
• Support workers’ compensation claims, injury reporting, and coordination with medical providers as required.
• Ensure all required EHS records, permits, and reports are completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Actively promote safety awareness and employee involvement through safety committees, meetings, and communication initiatives.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and corrective action related to safe work practices and compliance with EHS policies.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and management to integrate EHS considerations into daily activities and improvement projects.
