MISS: Assistant Chief Engineer (Contingency Hire)

The Assistant Chief Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a safe workplace, ensuring safety is the highest priority, and overseeing the prime power and water/waste water treatment programs. The position reports to the Chief Engineer and is responsible for all water purification, water storage, water distribution, and waste water treatments, as well as generators and associated power generation, transmission, and distribution equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and technical school or recognized training in water treatment.
• Three (3) years’ experience in operations and maintenance of a water treatment plant, facility, base or municipality, with specific experience in the operation of emergency generator operations, physical plants, building operations, and associated life support systems.
• Two (2) years’ management experience overseeing large facility preventative maintenance programs supervising a workforce of fifteen (15) or more personnel in an overseas environment.
