Sr. Metrology Technician

The Sr. Metrology Technician is responsible for performing routine calibrations, tests, and/or inspections in-lab or on-site using accredited standards, maintaining traceability and calibration of laboratory standards, and providing support and training to other technicians.

Requirements

• Perform calibration and certification of advanced RF electronic measuring and test equipment according to technical specifications, ensuring traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
• Calibrate and repair equipment such as Multimeters, data acquisition systems, data loggers, frequency counter, timers, oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Attenuators, directional couplers, Signal Analyzers, Signal Generators, Waveform Generators, Power Meters, Power Sensors, directional couplers, etc.
• Record maintenance activities in CMS, generate reports on results of tests, conditions of equipment and/or systems, repairs, and preventive maintenance performed, and prepare necessary documentation as required by customer and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize common laboratory measuring, calibrating, and test equipment.
• Validate, modify and create calibration procedures from specifications and requirements.
• Interpret and create uncertainty budget in accordance with ISO 17025:2017
