Substation Designer

KDM Engineering is seeking a self-motivated Substation Designer to prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD from sketches, photos, and satellite images. The role involves applying engineering standards and specifications, completing drawing packages on time, and maintaining high quality, accuracy, and professionalism. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills.

Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) and Certification in AutoCAD or equivalent education or experience.
• Design knowledge of electrical utility and engineering is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both verbally and in written form.
• Comfort in a self-directed environment.
• Detail-oriented, organized, able to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Versatility, flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
