Job Description
This full-time position is for a Peer Support Specialist within an Adult Inpatient Unit at Hoping, Mental Health Services. The role involves providing support to patients with severe and persistent mental illness, utilizing lived experience to empower clients, and serving as a liaison between patients, staff, and the community. It focuses on maintaining a professional boundary and collaborating with a team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Entry level experience (no prior related work experience)
- Valid WA State Food Worker Card (Can be obtained after hire)
- LICENSURE: Eligibility for an Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration
- Completion of the Washington State Mental Health Divisionâs Peer Counselor Training and subsequent certification as a Peer Counselor within six months of employment.
