Sr. Mechanical Engineer

LaBella is hiring a mid-level Mechanical Engineer in their Building Engineering Division – Energy Infrastructure team in their Syracuse, NY office. The role focuses on providing comprehensive energy efficiency and renewable energy consultancy, including feasibility analyses and design of mechanical systems. The position requires leading design and project review, mentoring junior engineers, and effectively communicating with clients.

Requirements

• Lead design of building HVAC systems and district energy systems
• Field investigations to document existing conditions
• Selection and calculations for design purposes
• Work with Jr Engineers to develop and review project drawings and documentation
• Interact directly with clients by completing analysis of design options, cost benefit comparisons, and communicating results to assist in decision making process
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and utility requirements
