The Plant Utility Trainee will perform sanitation duties, line inspections, and rework, including line break sanitation activities, removing stagnant product from equipment, mixing and handling chemicals, and end of cycle cleaning. The trainee will also inspect raw and finished product for foreign material and quality defects, and perform firewatch duties as needed.
Requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge of cleaning agents and their uses, understand how to mix chemicals, identify hazards and first aid procedures associated with chemicals.
- Clean equipment using established standard operating procedures using manual cleaning, use of high pressure hoses, ladders, air hoses and hot water units.
- Remove cases from pallets and reworking product through bag blending, reworking to totes or sorting out cases from the pallet.
- Manually inspect raw and finished product for any foreign material, excess vine or quality defects removing any defective product and disposing.
- Perform firewatch duties as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Actively participate in Company Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice Programs.
