Job Description
Lexington Health is seeking a Part Time Interpreter Spanish - Onsite position. The Interpreter will facilitate communication between LEP patients and visitors and LMC staff and providers. The Interpreter will provide sight-translation of materials and follow the guidelines of the National Council on Interpreting in Healthcare (NCIHC).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience as a medical interpreter
- Nationally certified at the time of hire or must obtain certification within the first year of employment (Spoken Language Interpreters must be nationally certified through the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI))
- Bridging the Gap Medical Interpreter specific proficiency testing and training upon hire
