Key responsibilities include formulating and driving BD strategies, building and sustaining strong working relationships with partners, stakeholders, and key clients, and guiding and facilitating the BD specific professional development and training of fee earners.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in business development within legal services
- Specific focus on Banking, Restructuring & Insolvency, and Investment Funds sectors
- Deep experience working in or with Asian stakeholders, especially in the finance sector
- Strong understanding of banking transactions, restructuring processes, insolvency matters, fund formations, and market dynamics across these sectors
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful BD strategies
- Experience building relationships with senior stakeholders and managing key client partnerships
- Strong leadership skills with ability to guide teams and influence across practice areas
- Experience setting and measuring KPIs for business development effectiveness
- Demonstrated ability to leverage data insights to identify market opportunities
- Experience creating compelling pitches and proposals for sophisticated Banking, R&I, and Investment Funds clients
- Strong cross-selling experience with ability to identify opportunities across practice areas
- Strategic thinking with ability to align tactical BD activities with broader firm objectives
