Be the first point of support β help students thrive through compassionate, connected wellbeing care. The Student Wellbeing Officer will provide first-contact support to students accessing wellbeing services, including appropriate initial support, triage, and escalation as required. This is a full-time, continuing role based onsite at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification and previous experience in a pastoral or student support role
- Current Mental Health First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Demonstrated experience working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to respond to the needs of diverse student groups, providing information, advice, and guidance while clarifying procedures and responding to feedback
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyse student caseload data and report on trends to managers and colleagues
- Ability to analyse data provided by external agencies or other university departments (e.g., student satisfaction data)
- High motivation and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on student life at the University
