The Salvation Army seeks a Culinary Instructor/Kitchen Supervisor to educate and train culinary academy students, oversee food programs, and manage daily operations of the Culinary Training Academy/Kitchen.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Certified from a Culinary Training Program or 3 years' experience in the hospitality industry
- Must be a person of high integrity, beliefs, and lifestyle that agrees with The Salvation Army's mission
- Organizational capacity and leadership qualities
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Knowledgeable and experienced in food service ordering, inventory management, budgeting, food preparation, servicing, cleaning, and equipment maintenance
- Ability to read and comprehend simple to complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to work in a team environment and multitask required duties
- Must maintain confidentiality or sensitive materials and information
- Must possess a valid California Class C Driver License
- Must be 21 years or older
