MD&A is seeking a shop-facing 7FA Gas Turbine Rotor Repair Engineer to support and drive rotor repair engineering from intake through final release.
Requirements
- Lead or support rotor repair engineering scope from intake through final technical release, including evaluation, repair planning, routing, execution support, and closure documentation.
- Translate dimensional, NDE, and inspection results into repair scopes, acceptance criteria, and hold points.
- Select, apply, and refine repair methodologies based on damage mechanism, risk, schedule, and customer requirements.
- Create, revise, and maintain job documentation including work instructions, routings, inspection plans, measurement requirements, and technical reports.
- Provide real-time technical support on the shop floor; partner with Operations, Machining, Welding, and NDE to remove blockers and keep work moving.
- Support NCR/MRB dispositions and structured problem-solving, including RCA/CAPA as needed to prevent repeat issues.
- Participate in customer technical reviews and pre-job meetings; provide onsite/field support when required.
- Drive lessons learned and standard work to reduce cycle time, rework, and variation.
- Assist in tooling and process planning, shop growth initiatives, and technician mentorship as required by company goals.
