Job Description
MHP is hiring an On-Call Outreach Specialist to build relationships with individuals experiencing homelessness, providing them with resources and placing them in shelters, cafes, or safe havens. This on-call role requires engaging individuals and connecting them with needed services, often including temporary housing and assistance with applying for resources. The position is based in Upper Darby, PA.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED preferred. Additional years of experience will be considered.
- 2 years of working with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health conditions and/or substance misuse.
- Credentialed as a Certified Peer Specialist is a plus.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer skills.
- Data entry skills.
- Ability to work within assigned parameters and standard practices.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work with partners.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
