Material Handler

Role Overview

Metals USA is seeking a Material Handler for our Philadelphia, PA facility. The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, placing, and returning items into stock inventory locations, as well as operating yard trucks, cranes, and forklifts to load and unload trailers.

What You Will Do

The Material Handler will perform tasks such as tagging materials, pulling and assembling customer orders, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining work areas in a clean and safe manner.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a high school graduate or equivalent, basic arithmetic skills, and the ability to comprehend oral and written communication. Experience working with heavy equipment and overhead cranes is preferred.

Requirements

• Valid OSHA Forklift Certification
• Valid Overhead Crane Certification
• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Basic arithmetic skills
• Ability to comprehend oral and written communication
• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English
• Proficient measuring skills
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and documents, blueprints
