The Corrections Officer Trainee role involves securing inmates in the Montgomery Detention Facility, performing duties such as intake, searching cells, and responding to emergency situations. The role requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. and a six-month probationary period with on-the-job training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 19 years of age
- Alabama driver's license
- POST-C certification (optional)
- Medical examination and physical agility test
- Thorough background investigation
- Certification in pepper spray or Mace, SSGT, and CPR
